St Peters - Bathroom Waterproofing and Remedial Upgrade

Delivered bathroom reconstruction works to rectify failed waterproofing and moisture ingress. Works included full strip-out, compliant waterproofing, rebuilds and roof repairs, restoring durability and internal amenity within an occupied strata building.

Project Highlights

Comprehensive bathroom reconstruction works were delivered at St Peters, within a multi-unit residential strata complex. The project focused on rectifying failed waterproofing systems and addressing ongoing moisture ingress impacting multiple apartments.

Bathrooms were stripped back to structural substrate, with all defective tiles, screeds and compromised linings removed. Detailed substrate remediation was undertaken to rectify falls, correct irregularities and ensure compliance prior to installation of a new high-performance waterproofing system. All waterproofing works were completed in strict accordance with NCC requirements and AS 3740 to ensure long-term durability.

Following successful flood testing and quality assurance checks, bathrooms were rebuilt with new screeds, tiling and fixtures, restoring both functionality and internal amenity. Particular attention was given to service penetrations, junction detailing and interface points to eliminate future water migration risks.

Externally, roof repair works were undertaken to eliminate moisture entry points contributing to internal damage. This included removal of defective roof sections, rectification of flashings and penetrations, and installation of new compliant skylights to improve natural light while maintaining full weatherproof integrity. All roof detailing was carefully integrated to ensure correct falls, drainage performance and long-term waterproofing reliability.

Works were staged within an occupied strata building, requiring careful coordination, controlled demolition procedures and proactive communication with residents and strata management. The result was a technically robust remedial outcome that reinstated waterproofing integrity, protected adjoining units and extended the service life of the building’s wet areas.
