Redfern - Mixed-Use Defect Rectification Works
Extensive building and remedial rectification works were completed at this three-storey mixed-use development in Redfern comprising 19 residential units and three ground floor commercial tenancies.
The project addressed a range of identified defects across residential units, common areas and external elevations.
The scope included water penetration investigations and roof flood testing, rectification of moisture-damaged plasterboard ceilings, render crack repairs, repainting works, and rectification of defective balcony balustrades and capping. Window systems were adjusted and repaired, exhaust fans replaced, plumbing defects rectified and various isolated internal defects addressed throughout multiple units. External façade works included render repairs, removal of redundant fixings, reinstatement of unfinished wall sections and full repainting to affected elevations.
All finishes were reinstated to match existing, with surface preparation and coating systems carried out in accordance with a detailed painting specification. The works were carefully staged within an occupied building, coordinating access with residents and strata management to ensure minimal disruption while delivering a high-quality remedial outcome.
