Bondi Beach - Façade and Structural Remediation Upgrade
Major façade and structural remediation works were carried out at this Class 2 residential building in Bondi Beach, addressing long-standing defects to the façades and sections of the roof structure.
The scope included full replacement of deteriorated timber windows with new powder-coated aluminium systems, removal and reinstatement of weatherboards with new external façade panels, lintel treatment and corrosion protection, boundary fencing repairs, concrete path reconstruction and extensive vegetation removal impacting the building envelope. Masonry crack stitching was undertaken to stabilise fractured brickwork, along with render repairs and façade reinstatement to restore structural integrity and visual continuity. All works were delivered in accordance with current NCC and Australian Standards, with careful management to minimise disruption to residents.
Structural upgrades were also undertaken to strengthen and stabilise sections of the building, including installation of new beams to support sagging roof areas and construction of a new engineered timber structural system to the north-east façade.
These works restored structural integrity, improved weatherproofing performance and ensured long-term durability of the building envelope.
